“You’re giving me the ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ routine? I invented ‘it’s not you, it’s me.’ Nobody tells me it’s them not me; if it’s anybody, it’s me.”

USB Drive Comparison

USB Is About to Get an Exciting New Upgrade!

The USB first came out in 1996, so we all know what they are. We have been using them with our computers for over 20 years and we are now about to use them with our mobile devices too.

USB makes it easier for us to connect different types of devices, charge them and transfer the data. It goes without saying that USB has changed and upgraded over the years and there is about to be another improvement due soon, we are expecting around November.

Thankfully with this upgrade, you won't need to buy any new USB cables or accessories. The industry body that drives USB improvements, The USB Promoter Group, has announced the planned release of USB 4 2.0.

Why is this news exciting to you?

Well, it will allow you to double the speed of data transfers on cables you own if they are no more than a couple of years old. This new standard will see a maximum data transfer performance of up to 80GBps. That’s gigabits per second. It means that your data will transfer faster, and the displays will perform better, improving your productivity. Giant techs like Microsoft, Apple, HP and Intel make up the USB Promoter Group and its main job is to develop USB capabilities to meet the demand of the current market and to extend support for more platform types.

If you want improved productivity and performance in your business before the end of the year, contact us. There are always ways to make things faster in every business.

Until next time, keep fit and have fun!

(TYYV) The Yada Yada Version:

A great upgrade is coming to the USB and yada yada yada it will allow you to double the speed of data transfers! Now that's exciting!
