3 Awesome New Features Coming to Teams!

The popularity of Microsoft Teams has exploded in recent years and there are now a whopping 270 million people using it every month! This is mainly due to the pandemic and employers realizing that it was an excellent tool to use while everyone was working from home. The growth of Teams has continued, even if some believe it may have slowed down a little recently. Business owners and managers are so impressed with Teams and its ability to keep employees connected and communicating that they wonder how they ever managed without it.

Microsoft has been committed to always making Teams a little bit better by constantly adding more features and making improvements. The features that they add aren't just making the core of Teams better, but they are constantly looking for things to make production higher with fewer distractions. This is what makes Teams so unique and cool!

Some of the new improvements that have been added to Microsoft Teams are a virtual Whiteboard that can be used to write down ideas while brainstorming during a video call, better chat features that include being able to pin chats to the top and filter messages more easily and being able to change your view to help you stay on task better without distractions.

And Microsoft aren’t stopping anytime soon, there are currently more features that are in production to make Teams even more epic! Here are three features that we are excited about.

The first is due for release later this month. This feature feels like it should have been there from the start. When you rename a Teams channel, it will automatically change the name of the corresponding SharePoint folder. This will help make things a lot more organized and save you time hunting for the right folder.

Then in June, they are releasing a Chat With Self feature. This feature will let you send yourself notes, messages, files and images. We think that this feature will be helpful in making sure you can send yourself quick reminders or ideas that you have pop into your head.

And finally, an improvement to Teams calls you make from your browser, rather than the Teams app. It should be the same experience with the same features in both.

Of course, many other updates are being released throughout the rest of the year. With Teams, there’s always an exciting new update on the way.

If you need any help setting up Teams so it’s customized to your business, get in touch with us!

Until next time, keep fit and have fun!

(TYYV) The Yada Yada Version:

Microsoft Teams has exploded in popularity in the last few years, mainly because many people are now working from home. Teams are constantly coming up with cool new features and yada yada yada these features will be out later this year to help make our work-life just a little bit easier.
