Save Time: Auto-Launch Your Favorite Windows 11 Apps

Imagine starting your day with all your go-to apps already open and ready to use. No more clicking around to get everything set up—sounds good, right?

Windows 11 makes this possible by letting you auto-launch your favorite apps whenever you log in. It’s quick to set up and helps you or your team dive into work faster.

Setting Up Auto-Launch for Apps

For some apps, enabling auto-launch is simple:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click on Apps.
  3. Select Startup.

Here, you’ll see a list of apps that can auto-launch. Just toggle the switch for the apps you want to open automatically, and you’re all set!

But what if the app you need isn’t listed in the Startup settings? Don’t worry—you can still make it auto-launch.

Using the Startup Folder

The Windows 11 Startup folder lets you add shortcuts to any app you want to open automatically. Here’s how to access it:

  1. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.
  2. Type shell:startup and click OK.

This will open the Startup folder. To add an app, create a shortcut for its executable file (usually an .exe file found in Program Files) and place it in this folder.

If this feels a bit overwhelming, don’t hesitate to ask for help—we’re here to make it easy for you.

A Quick Tip

While it’s tempting to auto-launch all your favorite apps, opening too many at once can slow down your computer. Stick to the essentials to keep things running smoothly.
